I have two brand-new how-to-draw books out, and I’m so excited to share them!! They’re perfect for summer activities to keep the kiddos occupied, and I can’t wait for everyone to try them out.
If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve been creating how-to-draw books for kids for a while now, and these two additions to the series are some of my absolute favorites. The two newest in the series are all about drawing bugs and sports–what kid wouldn’t love that?!
Each book is filled with simple, step-by-step instructions that make learning to draw fun and totally doable for anyone. I think you’ll love them!

These two new books fit right into my existing series of How to Draw Flowers, Animals, Magical Things, Under the Sea and more, which all give kids so many fun drawing topics to explore.
The first new book, How to Draw Bugs, has over 40 different bugs and insects that kids can learn to draw. From ladybugs to butterflies to spiders and caterpillars, this book breaks down each drawing into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Kids can learn how to draw a bug in just 5 minutes!

The second book, How to Draw Sports, is perfect for kids who are into sports and athletics. It includes 40+ projects on all kinds of sports gear and equipment, from basketballs to hockey sticks to pickleball paddles (you know I had to sneak that one in–Landon and I definitely have the pickleball bug 😂). Just like the bugs book, kids can complete each one in just a few minutes!

I think the thing I love most about these books is that they’re truly designed for beginners. No experience is required! Whether your kiddo is brand new to drawing or already loves it, this book will build their confidence with each drawing they do. And I should also add–though they’re designed for kids, these tutorials are fun for anyone who likes to draw 🙂
Creating how-to-draw books has been so fun for me because I love seeing kids gain confidence in their artistic abilities. Drawing doesn’t have to be intimidating, it’s actually a skill that anyone can learn and master with practice!
These books give kids exactly what they need: clear, step-by-step instruction, projects they can achieve, and the confidence boost that comes from finishing something they’re proud of. And a plus for parents, it’s screen-free time! Drawing keeps kids entertained with a creative activity that doesn’t involve a phone or tablet.
I’m so excited these two new books are out now because summer is such a perfect time for these kinds of projects. Whether you’re looking for rainy day activities, a fun homeschool resource, or just a way to keep kids entertained and creative during break, these how-to-draw books are a great option!

Beyond the how-to-draw books, I’ve created a few other book series that you might love. If you have younger kids, the sticker doll books are a lot of fun. They’re interactive and let kids explore with their imagination.
I’ve also created a whole collection of adult coloring books for anyone who loves to unwind with some creative coloring time. They’re great for both adults and (older) kids– really, anyone who loves art and being creative!
I’m so grateful for the opportunity to create each and every one of these books. It’s truly an artist’s dream to see my work in print like this, so I hope you love them!
